Puerto Galera due to its many diverse attractions and close proximity to Manila, is the favored summer destination in the Philippines Mindoro is the next biggest island to the south of Manila. It is divided into the provinces of Mindoro Occidental, the western part, and Mindoro Oriental, the eastern part. Puerto Galera is approximately three and one half hours from Manila. Two hours by bus and and one and one half hours boat ride from Batangas pier to Puerto Galera.
